The Sundre Screams: When Bigfoot Interrupted A Fly Fishing Trip

The Sundre Screams: When Bigfoot Interrupted a Fly Fishing Trip in Alberta

The Sundre Screams: When Bigfoot Interrupted a Fly Fishing Trip in Alberta In August 2009, what started as a peaceful fly-fishing trip near Sundre, Alberta, turned into something pulled straight from the pages of a cryptid encounter.

A lone fisherman reported sudden, unexplained screams echoing through the forest — not from coyotes, not from cougars, but something deeper… something language-like. Nearby cattle became uneasy, and the man was left shaken by what he described as a howling, almost vocal series of sounds.

He wasn’t the only one.
Multiple reports came in from the same region around the same time.

Why This Still Matters

Alberta isn’t just postcard-worthy mountains and trout-filled rivers — it’s a hotspot for paranormal and cryptid encounters.

From Indigenous lore to modern eyewitness accounts, Sasquatch has never been far from the story.

Some see him as a guardian, others as a watcher, and in moments like this, maybe a messenger.

So if you’re the kind of person who feels the chill when the forest goes quiet, you’re not alone.
